Raffle to Support the Volunteer Program at IPCC

Support the Volunteer Program at IPCC and buy raffle tickets to win this Sundown pot! The piece is made by Keith Chino of Acoma Pueblo. It is hand carved and textured with hand-mixed glazes. The piece will be raffled off at the end of September.

Raffle tickets are $1 each and available at the Guest Experience Desk at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.

Keith Chino Biography

Keith was born and raised among the beautiful landscapes of Acoma Pueblo. Taught by generations of potters and artists, Keith used this influence in many of his pieces of art. He enjoys creating new and one-of-a-kind pieces, which has led him to a style all his own.

A graduate of Grants High School, Keith continued his education in Lawrence, Kansas. This is where he studied Fine Art at Haskell Indian College. Here he learned the techniques he used in his artwork today. With the knowledge he acquired at SIPI to become a Commercial Printer, working ten years for the Albuquerque Publishing Company. Keith’s quest for knowledge and art influenced him to manage Acoma Pueblo’s first print shop. There his skill with the press and his love of art influenced him to become a full-time artist.

Listening to his heart, and his ability to experiment with different medias has only enhanced his award-winning designs. Each piece is hand carved and textured. All pieces are printed with hand-mixed glazes, making each piece a unique one-of-a-kind work of art. Tools used by Keith were passed down by generations of potters. Some of the unique colors are only seen once. Most of the shape and colors are inspirations of mother earth’s beauty; Keith loves to create!
