Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

As the gateway to the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC) is dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of Pueblo Culture, History, and Art. Through your support, IPCC continues to showcase the history and accomplishments of the Pueblo people, from Pre-Columbian to current times.

With the support provided by donors, like you, our center hosted thousands of visitors of all ages and demographics in 2023, who enjoyed an array of educational and museum programming and indigenous-inspired dining and shopping. The Cultural Center continues to draw interest from the urban Albuquerque community and travelers from around the nation and beyond.

As 2023 comes to an end and with the advent of a new year, we are reaching out to our friends and seeking support for our end of year giving campaign. Our team has put together several options that with your support will impact our center in 2024, these offerings include:

Updating the Permanent Exhibit, “We Are of This Place: The Pueblo Story”

Providing technological upgrades to areas of our main exhibit space which will increase visitor engagement by making exhibits more immersive and engaging.  Technology will provide a deep understanding of Pueblo people of the past and present and enhance discovering the Pueblo people’s legacy of resilience through their own words and voices.

End of Year Giving Goal: $10,000

Supporting Our Cultural Dance Program

Funding to our Native Dance Program.  IPCC is the only venue in North America to host Native Dances year-round, showcasing dance groups from the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, as well as Plains Style, Navajo, Apache, and Hopi dancers. In 2023, this program put $70,000 back into Pueblo communities. These programs underscore the cultural relevance of Native dance and its vital importance to impart the story of the Pueblos and other tribes through movement, regalia, drumming, and song.

End of Year Giving Goal: $10,000

Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex (IPEC)

Opening in late Spring 2024, IPEC seeks funding for this newly developed multifaceted community space, with the first phase oriented to support those in the food and agriculture industries. We are excited to help strengthen our local food system, providing a commercial kitchen, cold storage and transportation, test kitchen, high volume fresh produce processing and production areas, and general business services for both Native and non-Native entrepreneurs.
