PIVOT Skateboard Deck Art 2022 Native Youth Workshop
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is excited to announce the second Native Youth Workshop in association with “PIVOT A Skateboard Deck Art” exhibition. This workshop will take place at the IPCC Classroom, the north side of IPCC.
The two Native Co-Curators, Landis Bahe (Dine/Navajo) and Kandis Quam (Zuni Pueblo), along with a few of the Native artists in the exhibition, will be demonstrating and talking about painting skateboards. Victor Corpuz (Laguna Pueblo), Maize Entities, LLC, will be providing the skateboard decks for this workshop.
Space is limited and applications are required. The focus is geared toward Native American students who are of middle school-age (6th – 8th grade). Guidelines and forms for participants are found in the attached packet for copying and dispersal.

The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center would like to invite Native American middle school students (6th – 8th Grade) to participate in the fall Native Youth Workshop. This workshop is open to students who live and attend their community school as well as students who go to school away from their communities, (SFIS, AIS, NACA, BSD, SFPS, etc.) are eligible to apply.
Rules and Guidelines
- All students must be affiliated with a Native American tribe or a student from a tribally ownedschool.
- Each student will receive a skateboard deck to paint
- IPCC will provide art supplies and workspace.
- Each student should wear clothing that can get dirty.
- Registered students must arrive by 10a
- Snacks and lunch will be provided

- Short presentation by Native artists present during workshop
