IPCC Cultural Educator Jon Ghahate explores the history and significance of the Pueblo Revolt in a series of presentations, including a knotted yucca cord demonstration, which helped the individual Pueblos coordinate the timing of the revolt against the Spanish.

Join PIVOT co-curators Landis Bahe (Diné) and Kandis Quam (Zuni) as they lead a panel discussion with PIVOT artists Mallery Quetawki (Zuni), Roberta Bitterwater (Diné), Leandra Yazzie (Diné), Jason Garcia (Santa Clara), and James Johnson (Tlingit) as they talk about PIVOT, its origin, and the work of each of the artists as they create art from a perspective that is not entirely their own.

The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center seeks K-12 Native youth to participate in its 43rd Annual Native American Student Art Show, entitled “Who is Your Superhero?” The theme aims to let students show who the superheroes in their lives are—be it parents, grandparents, friends, pets, or nature.

Victor Corpuz (Laguna Pueblo), Maize Entities, LLC, will be providing the skateboard decks for this workshop.
