Stories by the Fireside (In-Person)

Enjoy the age-old tradition of storytelling around the bonfire, with Emmett Garcia, Stephanie Oyenque and Shannon Romero each sharing a different Pueblo tale. We’ll also have performances of Buffalo Dances by the Black Eagle Dance Group (Jemez) and the Eagle Dance by Ria Thundercloud (Sandia). Admission for the event is a new toy or clothing item for boys/girls ages 3-18 or three non-perishable food items. Partners include the Albuquerque Public Schools Indian Education Department and the APS Homeless Project. All items will be donated to Native American students in the Albuquerque Area who are in need during the holidays.
