Pueblo Book Club: Without Reservations: The Cartoons by Ricardo Caté (Invited Guest)
02:00 pm - 04:00 pm MDT
This Pueblo Book Club will be offered both online (Zoom) and in person in the Chaco III room at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center at 2pm.
“A picture is worth a thousand words” goes the saying. Our April book selection asks, “Why take life so seriously?” This past year, perhaps many of us have had to do so – or have asked this of ourselves. Coronavirus has certainly thrown us a curveball, spitball, and inside pitch all at once, and what we all need is a good belly-laugh. This month’s reading, “Without Reservations: The Cartoons of Richard Caté,” by Kewa/Santo Domingo artist/cartoonist Richard Caté, contradicts the stereotype of ‘stoic Indian’ with a satirical, if not irreverent, perspective of the contemporary Indian experience. The book is also available at the Indian Pueblo Store for $11.99. BUY ONLINE HERE
The form to RSVP for the online meeting is here. Stay tuned! The deadline to register is the day before the event. April 11, 2022 11:59 PM
