Pueblo Book Club: “The Night Watchman: A Novel” by Louise Erdich (Turtle Mountain Chippewa)
02:00 pm - 04:00 pm MST
This Pueblo Book Club will be offered both online (Zoom) and in person in the Chaco III room at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center at 2pm.
Storytelling has long been a human behavior, using the oral narrative of passing along history, skillsets and knowledge. It is also a way of reminding others of those who have come before. With the written form, few people possess that unique gift of being exceptional storytellers. ‘The Night Watchman: A Novel Portrayals’ by Turtle Mountain Chippewa tribal member Louise Erdrich, is an example of ‘a storyteller’s storyteller,’ such that her latest novel has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. What a unique opportunity to read a book and share in the life of her grandfather’s experience.
The deadline to register is the day before the event. December 12, 2022 11:59 PM. Register here.
