Pueblo Book Club: Acoma: Song of the Lion: A Leaphorn, Chee & Manuelito Novel by Anne Hillerman
02:00 pm - 04:00 pm MST
This Pueblo Book Club will be offered both online (Zoom) and in person in the Chaco III room at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center at 2pm.
March is designated Women’s History Month acknowledging the contributions of women in our Native communities. This month’s book introduces us to a Dine policewoman.
Countless readers have been introduced to the creatively written crime novels of Tony Hillerman. The duo of Diné, Navajo law enforcement officers have intrigued and entertained readers since they solved their first crime. The enhanced role of Officer Bernadette Manuelito, partner and now a spouse, is an enthralling addition to the mystery and “whodunnit” saga of solving crimes on the Navajo Nation. Commemorating Women’s History Month, Tony’s daughter, Anne Hillerman’s “Song of the Lion: A Leaphorn, Chee and Manuelito Novel” is our reading for March; she is also our invited guest. Suggested donation to this event is $5. (DONATE HERE) You can also purchase this month’s selection at the Indian Pueblo Store for $16.99.
To RSVP for the online meeting, fill out this registration form . We will send you a link and password to join the Zoom webinar. The deadline to register is the day before the event. January 10, 2021 11:59 PM
