IPCC Family Story Time: Water is Life
01:00 pm - 02:00 pm MST
This Story Time will feature the Caldecott Award winning book We Are Water Protectors written by Carole Lindstrom (Anishinaabe/Métis/Ojibwe) and illustrated by Michaela Goade (Tlingit/Haida). This bold and lyrical picture book issues an urgent rallying cry to safeguard the Earth’s water from harm and corruption. Our reader will be Jocelyn Sanchez (Santa Ana).
This Story Time theme coincides with our Native American Student Art Show theme, “Water is Life.” Following the craft activity about water, students will be able to visit the Student Art Show exhibit space, as well as create their own Rain Stick to take home.
Free to children and a supervising adult. Check in at the Guest Experience desks for the Story Time location.
