IPCC Family Story Time: Christmas
01:00 pm - 03:00 pm MST
This will be our very special Christmas celebration! Our 2nd Annual Christmas Story Time will be followed by the children and their families decorating Christmas cookies and creating their own Gingerbread Houses using materials donated by IPCC volunteers.
The featured book will be Coyote Christmas: A Lakota Story written and illustrated by S.D. Nelson (Standing Rock Sioux). In this book, a traditional folklore character gets a modern update in this charming Christmas story. Our reader will be Chauntey Americanhorse (Pueblo/Oglala Lakota Nation). Following the story, families can help children decorate Christmas cookies donated by the IPCC volunteers.
Free to children and a supervising adult.
A SMALL SAMPLE OF THE SKILLS DEVELOPED WHEN CHILDREN ATTEND STORY TIME SESSIONS:
