Over the years Indigenous representation has been seen through photography. Archival photos are a tool to examine the past but, when inauthentic portrayals are used, they can be harmful to our culture and self-identity. This month’s program will focus on the importance of using photography as a medium of cultural preservation, current events, and artistic expression—captured in a single frame.
