Artist Circle Gallery Featured Artist Lecture by Wahpah-waagee, Laura Fragua Cota of Jemez Pueblo
12:00 pm - 01:30 pm MDT
Laura displays her thoughts and feelings of her Pueblo Indian lineage and history in her exhibit, “Our Ancestors: Our Historical Strength.” She creates in clay, words, stone, cloth, paint and song to express the world she has seen and lived, “I’ve heard stories and have danced to the songs that pray for rain. History that we have lived and long to tell will be our strength in the world we live in today. It will be our prayers for ourselves and our world that will carry us all through this time of COVID19 and create a more caring and loving way in our relations with all that the Creator has given us.”
