Documentary Debut: Journeys and Pathways: Contemporary Pueblo Women in Leadership, Service, and the Arts Oral History Project
02:00 pm - 04:00 pm MDT
Join us for the celebratory debut of the hour-long documentary of the oral history project, Journeys and Pathways: Contemporary Pueblo Women in Leadership, Service, and the Arts. This project interviewed twenty women from thirteen pueblos. Primary videographer, Dr. Beverly Singer (Tewa/Santa Clara Pueblo), created a video that narratives how each Pueblo woman’s family shaped their childhood and educational paths, and how their connection to home and culture strengthened them through disappointments and difficulties. Some of the interviewees will be on hand to talk about the process and the importance of this as a resource for young Pueblo women. Light refreshments will be served.
Thank you to PNM for its support of this important project.
