Pueblo Pottery Arts Celebration & Gathering Weekend

July 11-13, 2025

Join us for the Pueblo Pottery Arts Celebration & Gathering Weekend in honor of the IPCC’s Pueblo Pottery Community Project that brings the IPCC Collections and Pueblo Communities together! We are honored to present a Keynote Talk, a Fashion Show, Artist Panel Talks, and Artist Demonstrations with Pueblo artists from villages to the north, south, east, and west. These events offer critical opportunities for connections and conversations within the shared space of the IPCC, a gathering place where Pueblo Culture is celebrated through creative and cultural experiences and economic opportunities for Native American communities. The Pueblo Pottery Arts Celebration & Gathering Weekend events are supported by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, the Terra Foundation for American Art, and the First Nations Development Institute. Light refreshments will be served, and all tickets include museum admission. Single-day, two-day, and three-day passes are available.

About the Pueblo Pottery Community Project:

As the IPCC nears our 50th anniversary in 2026, we are ushering in new rotations of our Pueblo pottery collection and community narratives in the museum’s permanent exhibition, We Are of This Place: The Pueblo Story, beginning in late summer 2025The Pueblo Pottery Community Project unites Pueblo community outreach and stories with the IPCC pottery collection through a marriage of community dialogue and interactive technologyFrom the conversations shared in this project, the IPCC museum presents new narratives and imagery to public audiences through first-person Pueblo voices and meaningful engagement. This year, we are collaborating with nine Pueblo community members to create new photographic, video, and written content and integrate this cultural knowledge into our permanent exhibition and collections records. The Pueblo Pottery Community Project is an ongoing IPCC outreach endeavor that brings Pueblo community members in direct dialogue with the IPCC museum collections to grow community narratives and nurture intergenerational knowledge transmission.
