Pueblo Feast Days

Each Pueblo has its own traditions, laws, and visitor protocols. We strongly encourage all guests to contact the Pueblo directly, using the links provided below, at least two days before their visit to confirm that Feast Day dances and activities will take place. Events may be modified, postponed, or canceled due to weather, ceremonial obligations, tribal events, or other community considerations.

Pueblo Feast Day Visitor Guidelines

Please note that photography, video recording, and audio recording are prohibited during Feast Day celebrations unless expressly permitted by the Pueblo. Visitors must always follow the specific rules and directions provided by the host Pueblo.

While schedules vary by Pueblo, Feast Day activities often begin between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., typically starting with Mass and/or a procession. Traditional dances generally follow in the main plaza. Many Pueblos observe a midday break, often around noon, before activities resume in the afternoon and continue until dusk.

Visitors are encouraged to come prepared for outdoor conditions by:

  • Bringing and drinking plenty of water
  • Wearing sunscreen, hats, and other sun-protective clothing
  • Dressing respectfully and comfortably for the weather
  • Following all Pueblo laws, customs, and instructions from community members

We appreciate your respect for Pueblo traditions and your cooperation in helping preserve these important cultural celebrations for future generations.
