What students do:

• Explore Pueblo pottery traditions

• Engage with arts resources tied to the Grounded in Clay exhibit

• Create and take home a pottery-inspired artwork

• Younger students: Includes a storytime in place of research activities

Academic Research Experience

What students do:

• Access higher-level research materials and collections

• Engage with librarian-supported research services

• Learn academic search strategies

• Explore approaches to researching Pueblo/Indigenous topics

Library Discovery Experience

• Enjoy a Pueblo picture book storytime

Research & Library Skills Experience

Best for: Upper elementary, middle school, high school Inquiry • Research Foundations • Critical Thinking

What students do:

• Learn how libraries and collections are organized

• Explore Pueblo vertical files

• Practice foundational research skills

• Work in small groups to research Pueblo topics

• Share findings with the group

• Adjustable in intensity based on grade level

 

CULTURE & SOCIAL STUDIES EXPERIENCE

Pueblo History & Community Life Experience
