ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., December 10, 2025 — The Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex (IPEC) is honored to announce that it has received the Economic Development Award at the 2025 New Mexico Infrastructure Finance Conference. The conference's awards recognize investments made through Capital Outlay funds and the Tribal Infrastructure Fund (TIF) and administered by the New Mexico Indian Affairs Department (IAD) and other state departments.
The Economic Development Award recognizes the innovation, collaboration, and community impact of a project. IPEC was honored for the work that went into the planning, financing, construction, and operation of the complex, which opened in August of 2024.
"It really just shows the tremendous amount of teamwork that went into getting IPEC to where it is now," said IPEC Director Bill Stimmel. "And for us this award validates all that hard work and motivates us to continue to broaden our impact."
After winning the award, IPEC was invited to participate in the New Mexico Department of Finance's Project Excellence Showcase. This was an opportunity to present IPEC's mission and goals to the conference attendees, as well as learn about other infrastructure projects in the state. IPEC leadership hopes to take inspiration both from the showcase and the reception of the Economic Development Award to expand IPEC's impact on local businesses and entrepreneurs in New Mexico.
