Thank you to everyone who attended our opening reception for Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery and helped us welcome this special exhibit to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.

Curators, IPCC staff, and museum visitors gathered to celebrate Grounded in Clay’s return to the Southwest after a four-year national tour. After visiting the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Vilcek Foundation; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Saint Louis Art Museum, it is now the headline program of the Center’s 50th anniversary celebration year. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is excited to host this exhibit of over 100 historical and contemporary works from Pueblo artists, celebrating Pueblo pots as vessels that carry community-based knowledge and personal experience.

Grounded in Clay will be on view through February 21, 2027.
