ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., December 22, 2025 — The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC) is honored to announce that it has been awarded a $75,000 Weaving Kinship Grant from First Peoples Fund. This national grant recognizes Native-led organizations that are strengthening Indigenous Arts Ecologies through cultural preservation, artist support, and community-rooted innovation.
“This grant strengthens our ability to celebrate and sustain Pueblo lifeways through movement, regalia, and intergenerational teaching,” said IPCC President and CEO Monique Fragua. “We are grateful to First Peoples Fund for recognizing the importance of this work and for investing in our shared cultural future.”
The award will support the IPCC’s year-round Cultural Dance Program—the only one of its kind in North America—as well as the launch of Pueblo-only traditional arts workshops focused on moccasin making, embroidery, and belt weaving. These initiatives uplift Pueblo cultural practices and ensure they continue to thrive across generations.
