Albuquerque, NM, December 19, 2025 — The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (IPCC) is pleased to announce that it has received a $75,000 grant from the Terra Foundation for American Art to support the Pueblo Community Pottery Project, a significant reinterpretation and enhancement of IPCC’s permanent exhibition We Are of This Place: The Pueblo Story.

This funding will support the rotation of select Pueblo pottery works, the creation of new interpretive materials, and the integration of interactive digital experiences that center Pueblo voices and lived knowledge. Through community collaboration, the IPCC will develop multimedia content—including video interviews, written narratives, and digital models—to present Pueblo pottery as a vibrant, evolving art form.

“This project brings Pueblo community members into direct dialogue with the objects, allowing their stories and cultural knowledge to shape how these works are understood,” said Dr. Michelle Lanteri, Head Curator at the IPCC. “We are deeply grateful to the Terra Foundation for supporting a community-driven, inclusive reinstallation that affirms the living legacy of Pueblo artistry.

”The Pueblo Community Pottery Project launched as a reimagined section within the IPCC’s permanent galleries, reflecting both traditional and contemporary Pueblo perspectives. The project also includes the installation of a custom interactive kiosk—developed in partnership with New Mexico-based creative tech firm Ideum—that will make Pueblo histories more accessible to diverse audiences through immersive storytelling.
