History and art with the family
“My family of 5 visited the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to experience the Native American Journey and Art. It was very interesting for all. My children age 13, 11, and 9 especially liked the hands-on experiences, including building your own pueblo and the various dances. We were there on a Monday morning and there was very little traffic which led us to walk through at our leisure. The highlight of our visit was the pottery artist, Irvin Louis. He spent the time to explain to us the history and meaning behind each piece. We picked out a piece that will be treasured by our family. Great experience for all.”

Must-see in Albuquerque
“This center is a must-see! It provides a rare and important opportunity to learn about Native peoples through exhibits curated by Native people, using their own words and without filtering history through a white colonial lens. The exhibits are fascinating and beautiful. There’s a great opportunity to buy art directly from Native artists in the courtyard, and the restaurant has yummy food (the purchase of which supports the center).”

Great Experience!
“When our 11 year old grandson who was visiting from Seattle found out that he is part Native American he was eager to visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. We had only been there once, several years ago, before we moved to New Mexico. Our grandson was in awe of everything. He insisted on seeing all the exhibits, including a film about how authentic pottery is made. We enjoyed some Native American dances. The gift shop is very nice and tasteful. Afterward, we ate at the restaurant. The food was delicious! Since then, my husband and I have been back for one of their “parties on the patio.” It was a lot of fun.”
