
Ada Melton (Pueblo of Jemez), the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s longest business tenant, shares the many changes that she has seen in the time she has been at the Center and what makes it a special place to work. She about kicking out the Indian Health Service and the long road she’s taken over the past 30 years to run her own business with her family by her side.
Ada's office in the IPCC building is home to American Indian Development Associates (AIDA), which provides professional services to support Native American tribes, federal and state agencies, and community groups .As AIDA grew, she searched for a space to run her business that also aligned with Pueblo values and AIDA's work to address unmet needs within Pueblo communities. Over the years, Ada has seen IPCC grow along with her own business and treasures the sense of community that comes with working here.
