Tour Tuesday: ReLocated: Migration and Family Ties

@ Virtual Tuesday 05.11, 2021
-

This month, we will take a quick tour of the exhibit “ReLocated: Urban Migration, Perseverance, and Adaptation.”  The federal relocation program began in the 1950’s and set out to assimilate Indigenous communities across the nation. As an elective program, many individuals from the Pueblo Communities moved across the country to urban centers such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Denver. Pueblo people have a long tradition of migration and share our stories that connect us to our homes and our families.
